February is a very busy month here at St. Angela Merici, highlighted by, of course, Carnaval, which takes place during the second week of February. Be sure to make a note of the various theme days on your home calendars, so your child(ren) can participate in the spirit of the celebration. The students will enjoy a Valentine’s Day dance, as well, on the 14th. We recognize Black History Month by welcoming in Shaun Boothe, a renowned solo speaker who will present to the grades 4-8 on the topic of African-American and African-Canadia historical figures. Family Day on the 20th allows us all a day to rest and enjoy our families and friends. And, last, as February ends, we open up March with the beginning of Lent and our Ash Wednesday celebration.
